There are still 12 applicants vying to become the next police chief in Baton Rouge.
The Municipal Fire and Police Civil Service Board met yesterday and agree that all of the candidates meet the minimum requirements for the post. They will take an exam early next month, with the names of those scoring 75% or higher sent to the mayor's office for consideration.
An interim chief is now leading the department after Carl Dabadie Jr. retired in July.
