Just over a year after the police shooting that left Alton Sterling dead outside a convenience store, the Baton Rouge Metro Council is to be introduced tonight to the Community Police Ambassador Program.
It's an effort to build trust between residents of the city and police.
Volunteer citizens from various neighborhoods in the capital city will receive training that could help them settle grievances between the community and police.
