While powerful Hurricane Irma is getting most of the attention as its direct threats to the United States remain unknown, forecasters are now also watching Tropical Storm Jose in the eastern Atlantic Ocean.
Jose is not a threat to land at this time and it is far too early to say if it will threaten the United States.
The storm could reach hurricane strength later this week.
