Harvey Makes Third Landfall In Louisiana

Tropical Storm Harvey made a third landfall early Wednesday just west of Cameron, Louisiana.

Rough weather conditions stirred up by Harvey in the Lake Charles area will continue throughout much of today.  Authorities have confirmed that upwards of 400 rescues took place from flooded homes, roads and cars in Lake Charles, Iowa, Bell City and Hayes on Monday night alone.

Power outages are expected to be a continuing problem for Southwest Louisiana, which is forecast to receive an additional six to 12 inches of rain. The Lake Charles Civic Center is now being used as a storm shelter.

Our area remains under a wind advisory through tonight and a flash flood watch through tomorrow night.
