FEMA Director Says Houston Convention Center No Superdome

FEMA Director Brock Long is promising that Houston's convention center is far more ready to help storm victims than the Superdome in New Orleans was.

He made the statement in Corpus Christi, Texas yesterday while traveling with President Donald Trump.

Officials were heavily criticized 12 years ago because of the lack of food and poor security for Katrina victims at the dome. Long says there's plenty of both at the Houston facility where upwards of ten thousand victims of Harvey have sought refuge.
