Harvey's Heavy Rains Move Into Louisiana

The heavy rains of Tropical Storm Harvey are moving into South Louisiana and the potential for significant flooding is increasing.

Governor John Bel Edwards says the storm is creating a "dangerous situation" in the state, the forecast calling for upwards of 15 inches of rain to fall in some locations by Thursday. National Guard troops have already been deployed to the southwestern part of the state.

President Trump said at a news conference yesterday that he plans to visit Louisiana and Texas on Saturday.
