Harvey Drifting East Tuesday Morning

Tropical Storm Harvey was drifting slowly eastward over the Gulf of Mexico Tuesday morning, continuing to pull bands of tropical moisture into Texas and Louisiana. While Harvey has strengthened slightly, the storm is not expected to regain hurricane status.

New Orleans and Baton Rouge remain under a flash flood watch through Thursday night.

A move to the northeast to north-northeast is forecast to begin later today before Harvey makes another landfall on Wednesday. The storm then is finally expected to pick up the pace and move out of our area later in the week.
