Harvey Could Push Gas Prices Higher In Louisiana

New Study Documents Consumer Behavior When Gas Prices Fall

AAA reports the statewide average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in Louisiana is right about where it was when the work week began.

Though it moved slightly higher for a time, regular is continuing to average near the $2.14 a gallon mark. That's about six-cents higher than a month ago.

Hurricane Harvey is expected to get the blame for potentially higher fuel costs in the days and weeks ahead because of the storm-related evacuation and shutdown of a number of oil rigs and platforms in the Gulf.
