Cat 3 Harvey Growing Stronger Before Landfall

Hurricane Harvey is about to hit Texas as a strong category 3 with max winds of 125 mile per hour Friday afternoon.

The storm has yet to slow it's forward motion, continuing to move northwest at 10 miles per hour.

The National Hurricane Center is warning Texans to prepare for "life-threatening flash flooding". Landfall is expected late tonight and early tomorrow.

The effects of Harvey are expected to last well into next week. The most recent track from the NHC shows Harvey still lingering anywhere from southeastern Texas to southwest Louisiana by Wednesday afternoon.
