Change To Construction Of Interstate Barriers

There's a change coming to the way interstate barriers are constructed in Louisiana.

Dr. Shawn Wilson, Secretary of the Department of Transportation and Development, has announced that, in the future, two-inch high by 12-inch wide openings will be included at various points along the state's interstates.

The absence of such escape routes for water is believed to have contributed to flooding that occurred along I-12 in August of last year.
