The mosquitoes are buzzing and there's concern that all too many of them may be carrying the West Nile virus, especially in West Baton Rouge Parish.
Officials found nearly half of the mosquito samples tested positive for the virus last week in the parish, the largest amount of any week this year.
Residents are being urged to wear mosquito repellent to lessen the chance of getting infected.
