Louisiana disaster victims have a well-known reputation for their resiliency, something HUD Secretary Ben Carson is taking note of.
He visited Denham Springs yesterday, a year after historic flooding inundated a large swath of the southern part of the state.
Dr. Carson complimented local and state leaders for the job they did to help storm victims recover and was critical of "red tape" that has slowed the process of getting federal relief dollars to flood victims.
