A Zachary teenager is dead as the result of a violent single-vehicle crash.
Troopers say the crash happened on LA 959 in East Feliciana Parish early yesterday morning when 16-year-old Caleb Copeland was attempting to pass another vehicle at a high speed when he lost control at a curve, hit a guard rail and the vehicle overturned after going airborne.
He was not wearing a seatbelt.
