A former vice chancellor and head of Student Affairs at Southern University is fighting his ouster.
Dr. Brandon Dumas filed suit against the school's Board of Supervisors yesterday. He claims he was let go without the board's final approval.
Dumas says the panel voted last month to uphold System President Ray Belton's decision. Dumas argues that as an unclassified employee, he serves SU at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors, not Belton.
