Bars and casinos in Louisiana's capital city are getting almost a year to prepare for a significant change in their operations.
The East Baton Rouge Metro Council approved a ban on smoking inside those establishments yesterday. It won't take effect until June of next year.
One recent change in the proposed ban turns enforcement of the ordinance to police rather than firefighters.
