As Franklin Dissipates, Focus Turns To Other Disturbances

As Franklin dissipates after a second landfall in Mexico, forecasters at the National Hurricane Center in Miami are also watching a couple of other disturbances.

A trough of low pressure over the Bahamas is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms . It could bring locally heavy rains to Florida over the next day or two.

The other system is east of Puerto Rico with slow development possible over the weekend.

Neither is expected to threaten the Gulf Coast at this time.
