The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is updating its forecast for the 2017 Atlantic hurricane season.
NOAA forecast a 60% chance of an above-normal season. Meteorologists expect between 14 and 19 names storms. Originally, NOAA called for 11-17 named storms with a 45% chance of an above-normal season.
Through the first nine weeks of the season, there have been six named storms.
