The National Hurricane Center is warning of a potential tropical cyclone heading for the Yucatan Peninsula.
The storm is forecast to make landfall late Monday. It could reemerge into the Bay of Campeche mid-week before heading towards the coast of Mexico.
For now, the potential tropical cyclone is not expected to threaten the Gulf Coast.
