A Baton Rouge woman is waiting to learn her fate after making false social security claims on her dead mother.
Authorities say Lucille Williams pleaded guilty in federal court to stealing the benefits.
According to court documents, Williams submitted reports that her mom was alive and she used the payments for her care and support. She illegally collected almost $80,000.
A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
