Tropical Storm Don formed in the Atlantic Monday, but the National Hurricane Center says it's time appears to be short.
The storm has maximum winds of 40 miles per hour Monday afternoon while moving quickly westward. Some slight strengthening is possible, but Don could dissipate in as quick as 72 hours.
For now, the storm is not a threat to the Gulf Coast.
Forecasters are watching another area of disturbed weather further out in the Atlantic. It has a low chance of further development over the next five days.
