A leaky freight train in Baton Rouge is found to be harmless.
Baton Rouge and St. George firefighters responded with HAZMAT teams Wednesday to the railroad overpass at Bluebonnet Boulevard, where the locomotive from Livingston Parish was stopped.
Authorities said one of its cars was dropping a white powdery substance onto tracks and nearby properties. The substance was determined to be an aluminum-based powder.
