A motorcyclist in Ascension Parish is dead after running into a dog.
Louisiana State Police said a 66-year-old man died Saturday night in the wreck. It happened on Gold Place Road near Louisiana Highway 431.
Authorities said the canine ran into the road from a ditch and the biker was ejected after hitting it. First responders pronounced him and the dog both dead at the scene.
An investigation is underway.
