Baton Rouge Suspected Drunk Driver Arrested

A suspected drunk driver in Baton Rouge is under arrest for allegedly causing an accident.

Baton Rouge police handcuffed a 32-year-old man for an incident that happened Saturday.  Authorities said he exited I-12 East at South Sherwood Forest Boulevard when it happened.

He's accused of running through a red light at the exit and careening into an 18-wheeler, causing it to tip over and injure its driver.  The trucker was hospitalized for neck and back pain.

The man failed a Breathlyzer and was booked on charges that include DWI.
