The District Attorney in Baton Rouge is releasing the findings of an investigation into the ambush killing of three police officers last year.
Last summer, a military veteran who was angry about the police treatment of black men gunned down three police officers and wounded three others in a parking lot, before being shot and killed by police.
District Attorney Hillar Moore held a news conference Friday going into specific detail about how the situation unfolded. He said injured officers Sergeant Bruce Simmons and Deputy Nick Tullier are still fighting to fully recover while Corporal Chad Montgomery has made a full recovery.
A full report on the incident has been made available to the public.
