Cindy continued towards an expected overnight landfall close to the Louisiana/Texas border as its storms continued to hammer the Gulf Coast well east of its center.
Storms were also developing along the western side of Cindy's center, bringing rains to southwest Louisiana and southeast Texas.
A flash flood watch continues through Thursday night.
Cindy is expected to weaken quickly after landfall, but its remnants could leave behind showers and storms through the weekend.
