(WBRZ News 2) City police identified the officer involved in a deadly officer-involved shooting this week as Yuseff Hamadeh.

Hamadeh has been on the force for a year. As is typical of such investigations, he was put on paid leave immediately following the shooting late Tuesday night on South Acadian Thruway near Government Street.

Hamadeh is currently assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division.

State Police are handling the investigation into the shooting.

35-year-old Jordan Frazier was shot and killed when police said he got out of a car during a traffic stop with a gun.  Frazier was the passenger and had a criminal record.
