BR Developer Suing State Could Have Trouble Proving Case

A Baton Rouge developer says racism is behind a damaging report against him, but even if that's true, he still might not be able to prove it. That's what one legal expert says about the discrimination suit Jacob Johnson filed last month against the state.

Johnson was executive director of HEAL, the Health Education Authority of Louisiana, when a state audit accused him of stealing money.

Johnson believes racism was the motivation for that accusation, but one law professor tells the Louisiana Record Johnson will need strong evidence to show he's not just playing the race card.
