A school that has gained worldwide attention could be coming to our area.
BASIS is one of two proposed charter schools the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board is being advised to approve. The Arizona company wants to open a K-through-12 school modeled on its other schools that have some of the best test scores in the world.
Another charter the board is being advised to approve is from The Emerge Center which would focus on children who have autism or other disabilities.
