NWS Confirms Tornado Touched Down In Livonia Sunday

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Livonia Sunday as a line of strong storms moved through south Louisiana.

The tornado "snapped multiple trees and caused minor roof damage to a mobile home and a church" according to the NWS report.

The tornado's estimated wind speeds were 90 miles per hour as storms moved through Point Coupee Parish shortly before 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
