The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival gets going today at the fairgrounds. The festival got its start in 1970 and attracts visitors from all over the world.
Dozens of artists make up this year's eclectic lineup including Harry Connick Junior, Trey Anastasio, Aaron Neville, Stevie Wonder, Dave Matthews, Kings of Leon, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Pitbull and dozens more.
The festival starts this weekend and kicks back in again starting next Thursday through Sunday.
