The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced another round of weekend lane closures is coming to I-10 westbound.
From Friday at 6:30 p.m. through Monday at 6:30 a.m., the inside lane of I-10 westbound will be closed from the Mississippi River Bridge to the Atchafalaya Bridge for asphalt rehabilitation.
DOTD officials explained this is a rolling lane closure, and that parts on the stretch of I-10 will be closed sporadically throughout the weekend.
Drivers are urged to avoid I-10 west between Baton Rouge and Lafayette and use US 190 as an alternate route.
