Judge Denies Parole To Angola Juvenile Inmate

A judge has denied parole to a man convicted of murder as a juvenile.

The judge made his ruling Wednesday, saying Anthony Johnson has not shown that he deserves parole. Life sentences without parole for juveniles were declared unconstitutional five years ago, but judges have discretion about when to allow parole.

Johnson was convicted of the 2005 shooting death of 22-year-old Daniel Magee.
