Governor Preparing To Release Revised Business Tax Proposal

Louisiana business owners are anxiously awaiting the release of Governor John Bel Edwards' revised business tax proposal Monday.

Part of the plan involves a Commercial Activity Tax which works like a sales tax, except rather than the money coming from the customer, it's paid for by the person or business doing the selling.

And because the tax would be due regardless of the businesses profits that year, some in the business community say they are concerned about a possible negative effect on their bottom line.
