Lt. Gov. Denies Using Portion Of Museum For Personal Reasons

Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser says neither he nor his staff are using state museum facilities for personal reasons.

The accusation comes from Tim Chester, the now former interim director of the Louisiana State Museum who stepped down Monday.

The issue involves a dispute over who can use a museum owned apartment in a historic French Quarter building on Jackson Square.  Chester says Nungesser's office took the keys to the apartment away from the museum staff.
