Grand Jury Not Proceeding With Rape Case Against Angola Assistant Warden

A grand jury says there is not enough evidence to indict an assistant Angola prison warden accused of rape.

District Attorney Sam D'Aquilla told the grand jury a rape kit was not going to be presented as part of the evidence against Barrett Boeker. He said the rape kit result ended up being inconclusive after the alleged victim waited several days before going to a hospital.

Boeker's future remains uncertain and he is still on administrative leave.
