Governor John Bel Edwards' legal team is appealing a court ruling that revoked Edwards' LGBTQ anti-discrimination decree.
Monday, Edwards' attorneys argued in their appeal that the governor has authority to set the terms used in state contracts.
In December, state Judge Todd Hernandez rescinded the Edwards' executive order saying state lawmakers should have a say in creating any new anti-discrimination legislation in addition to what is already on the books covering the same area.
