House Majority Whip and Louisiana Congressman Steve Scalise is learning how to avoid the chants, signs and demands of an angry crowd.
He held a town hall meeting by telephone.
By doing so, Scalise avoided the hostile crowds faced by Louisiana's senior U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy and other Republicans this week at in-person town hall meetings.
Many of the constituents of other Republicans were angry about moves made by President Donald Trump and his administration, but the questions asked, and comments made, during the group phone call with Scalise, were mostly friendly.
