Figures show 85% of Louisiana's population is in some phase of recovery from natural disasters. The data comes from a State Senate Select Committee on Women and Children.
The concern is about the legal and emotional toll the various natural disasters is taking on women and children, which might include a landlord evicting tenants to make more money renting out a home as a temporary shelter.
The disasters, which include flooding and tornadoes, also still have some families living in cars.
