A Louisiana woman is facing charges for allegedly filing false tax returns for her clients.
Melissa Cato of Gibsland was booked yesterday on charges related to tax returns she filed between 2012 and 2015.
Investigators with the state Department of Revenue say Cato claimed business losses for clients who did not own businesses.
State officials say they believe Cato's fraud cost Louisiana about $300,000.
