Talks are going on to sell the Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen restaurant chain to the company that owns Burger King and Tim Hortons.
Popeyes was founded in New Orleans in 1972 but has since been sold to an out-of-state company.
Restaurant Brands International says no price has been agreed upon for a possible acquisition bid, and the deal could fall through. But if the sale happens, experts believe it would make Popeyes and its Louisiana-style chicken and biscuits a global brand.
