The state is expanding its Child Care Assistance Program.
The Louisiana Department of Education has announced that new rules to the program will expand eligibility beyond the 10,000 statewide who benefit from the early intervention program.
The new requirements extend child care assistance to families where a parent works at least 20 hours per week. Students enrolled in job training for any number of hours are now eligible under rule changes.
