An Ascension Parish high school is reopening for the first time since August.
2000 students are expected Monday at St. Amant High School, which was forced closed for most of the school year due to last summer's floods. Students have been sharing a campus with Dutchtown High School during its closure.
"We are very excited that the Gators will get back to their home campus," said Ascension Public Schools Superintendent David Alexander. "The return of our largest displaced school is certainly a major milestone in our road to recovery, and we anxiously await our other displaced schools moving in the coming weeks."
