Louisiana lawmakers are returning to Baton Rouge Monday for a special session to fix the state's budget shortfall.
Governor John Bel Edwards called for the meeting to resolve the over $300 million mid-year spending gap.
The governor has proposed cuts to state payouts to hospitals and dipping into the state's reserves to make the fix.
A recent UNO survey found broad support for Edwards' call for a special session.
