The state's $50 billion coastal restoration plan is getting a thumbs up from a state advisory panel.
The Louisiana Governor's Advisory Commission on Coastal Protection endorsed the plan Wednesday. It's aimed at shoring up disappearing Gulf Coast marshes.
The public still has a chance to give their opinion on the plan. Comments will be received up until March 26th.
Then there will be a final draft of the plan that'll go to the state Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority board.
If the board approves it, it will go to the Legislature.
