A 14-year-old is accused in the death of an infant in Livingston Parish.
Police began investigating Friday when the teen went to the hospital for treatment after giving birth at home.
Authorities say deputies responded to her home in Denham Springs and found the baby dead in a tote. An autopsy confirmed the manner of death was homicide.
The 14-year-old mother is now facing a first-degree murder charge.
