The Baton Rouge airport plans to raise the price of parking to be comparable with similar-sized airports nationwide.
Assistant Director of Aviation Louis Hubbard, II says parking rates haven't changed since 2016. They tried to raise the prices in early 2020, but decided not to do so during the pandemic.
Hubbard says Baton Rouge air travel now exceeds pre-pandemic numbers.
The price for short-term parking will go from $12 to $16 a day. The economy parking rate will increase from $9 to $13 a day.
