Amtrak and local police are investigating a deadly crash involving a train and a passenger car in Pass Christian on Tuesday.
The train is one of the recently launched Mardi Gras Line that carries passengers between New Orleans and Mobile, Alabama, with stops in Mississippi.
The accident happened shortly after 7 p.m. when the train hit a car that had stopped on the tracks.
Pass Christian police confirm that the two people in the car were killed. Their names haven't been released.
