Pelicans Select Micah Peavy In Second Round Of NBA Draft

Pelicans 2025 NBA Draft Roundup: Round 1

Some new talent is coming to the New Orleans Pelicans after the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft on Wednesday.

Georgetown University guard Micah Peavy is headed for New Orleans.

The Pelicans selected Peavy on Thursday with the 40th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Peavy spent last season at Georgetown, following three seasons at TCU and one season at Texas Tech. At Georgetown, he was named to the 2024-25 All-Big East First Team.
