A suspect is in custody for a quadruple shooting on Canal Street during the Bayou Classic weekend.
Police arrested Chandler Davenport on Wednesday. He's charged with second-degree battery, aggravated assault on a police officer, illegal discharge of a firearm, and felon in possession of a gun.
The shooting happened on December 1st and wounded four people on Canal Street.
Davenport reportedly has a criminal record that includes prior charges in Baton Rouge and Maryland.
Police say they expect to make a second arrest soon.
