Baton Rouge police say efforts are underway to identify a body that was found in Capitol Lake near the Louisiana State Capitol on Tuesday.
Police and Baton Rouge firefighters responded after a groundskeeper discovered the body floating in the lake near the Claiborne Building. The East Baton Rouge Parish Coroner and Louisiana State Police also went to the scene.
Dive teams recovered the body from the water.
Officials say the body is that of a man, but is otherwise "unidentifiable" so far.
